What started as a simple website for a real estate agent, Chad Mudd, quickly evolved into cultivating his personal brand. Well known in the community by his last name, Mudd, “Mudd Knows Dirt” is a brand he created to market himself as a farm and ranch real estate agent. The logo I created communicates a cross-section of a piece of land using simple and familiar imagery. To create depth and keep the work clean I placed a line in between the wording but tied in the brand theme by creating a line that looks like dirt. Since Chad is part of Newland Real Estate I utilized their brand colors to clearly communicate that Chad is an agent of this brokerage.
A goal of the site is to share Chad’s knowledge of real estate as well as his skill as a chef and pitmaster. Knowing he planned to do this through blogs and videos I created the three pages for his website: Mudd’s Musings, Mudd’s Grub, and Mudd TV. I created icons and paired them with a vintage typeface to accompany each section of the blog. They are fun and friendly, much like Chad!
Chad is a fun, relatable, and hardworking person so creating an identity to accompany this standout personality was a blast! You can visit his website here.
